Applying Brand Guidelines

To New Campaigns

Brand guidelines are automatically applied when you create campaigns:

  1. AI reads your guidelines
  2. Content is generated matching your tone
  3. Colors and style inform visuals
  4. Dos and don'ts shape content decisions

To Existing Campaigns

For campaigns created before guideline changes:

  • New content follows updated guidelines
  • Existing content is not retroactively changed
  • Regenerate content to apply new guidelines

Campaign Overrides

You can customize guidelines per campaign:

  1. In campaign creation Phase 3
  2. Modify tone, dos, or don'ts
  3. Campaign-specific settings take precedence
  4. Original guidelines remain unchanged

Best Practices

Be Specific

Instead of:

"Be professional"

Try:

"Use formal language, avoid contractions, address the reader as 'you' and your company as 'we'"

Be Consistent

  • Use the same terminology everywhere
  • Align with your website and other marketing
  • Review guidelines quarterly

Think About Platforms

Different platforms may need different approaches:

PlatformConsider
LinkedInMore professional tone
InstagramMore visual, casual
Twitter/XConcise, engaging
TikTokTrendy, authentic
note

The AI adapts to each platform while respecting your overall brand voice.

Update Regularly

Review and update guidelines:

  • When brand positioning changes
  • After major product launches
  • Following company rebranding
  • When entering new markets
