What GhostPoster did (and why it worked)

GhostPoster worked because it blended in. It hid malicious logic inside something defenders rarely treat as executable: an extension’s logo file.

Researchers reported that the campaign used logo assets associated with 17 Mozilla Firefox extensions to embed JavaScript.
